John of Portugal, Duke of Coimbra, was grandson of John I,
King of Portugal. This is his genealogy:
He married Charlotte of Cyprus and become Prince of Antioch
and Regent of the Kingdom. This image shows a beautiful representation of his
arms as Prince of Antioch.
They had no descendants but because of this marriage, some
families in Portugal claim the title of Prince of Antioch. We believe there are
others with best right to the title.
